The fast food in United States was started in 1867 by Charles Feltman with the first hot dog stand in New York. Then hamburger shops were opened and the hamburgers were sold for very very low. The fast food of all "McDonald's" was opened and to me, America has become a nation of fast foods. We should cook our own food and should not rely on food that are prepared in 5 minutes. Because there are food out there that are filling yet decently priced (not so much anymore) and tasty, it prevents a lot of people to be productive and become lazy. But fast food is not all that bad. There are so many people out there who has no time to cook because of the in between jobs that they have. But i can only think of that one as a positive factor. The fast food consumption has known to increase calorie intake, promote weight gain, and elevate risk for diabetes. There are 400,000 death each year in the US due to obesity and about 60 million American adults are classified as being obese with 127 million being overweight.
Yet knowning all these factors, i can't seem to get myself to stop eating them. It's just like what i talked about in my previous blogs of certain foods that i can't just seem to stop eating. There are certain days that i just crave hamburgers and sometimes just only McDonald's.
